Name conjures bad memories
Letters
Editor: I found Mr. Garber's letter to the Bulletin very
interesting. ("Bad choice of a name," Letters, Nov. 14)
It reflected my feelings exactly about Terasen (the new name for
B.C. Gas). I am not a Holocaust survivor but I reacted the same
way as he did when I first saw the name. Terezin instantly came
to my mind. I dont know if the Jewish community will want to take
this on as there are so many other issues to tackle. I believe that
every month when I receive my gas bill, this horrid association
will come to my mind.
