The left is the problem
Letters
Editor: While I found the article on Mr. Gil Troy's presentation
excellent ("Cause for deep concern: prof," Bulletin
cover, Feb. 28), I find it disturbing and amazing that, according
to the article, he failed to identify the left as a cause for concern.
The left, with its virulent anti-Semitism and/or Zionophobia, is
the source of the hatred and bias found in the media and our universities
that have become a bastion for the liberal left. Only the degree
of the infection will vary depending on how far to the left the
person is, but it is still the same infection.
When I hear of "peace" movements and marches, I have to
wonder why they can only identify with the aggressors and show no
concern for innocent victims. It is interesting that we never see
them marching in the Arab streets protesting the murder of Israeli
mothers, children and other civilians, and I am still waiting to
see the Muslim "peace" movement and marches.
The article identifies the violent anti-Semitism of right-wing racist
gangs. While I have no doubt that they don't much like us, I haven't
run into any lately, but I do encounter daily the anti-Semitism/Zionophobia
of the liberal left.
I wonder what it will take to wake us up.
