MP outraged over article

Editor: I was shocked and outraged at the article that appeared in the Dec. 19 issue of the Miracle.

My advertisement in that paper was part of a larger advertising program being conducted on my behalf. I have cancelled any future advertisements in the Miracle and regret placing them in the past.

I expect and hope for a full retraction and apology to be issued by the editor/publisher to not just the Jewish community, but to all thinking, intelligent and tolerant Canadians.

This obscene article was written by an American whose bigoted and racist views are fuelled by hatred and ignorance.

I am appalled that such an article would appear in any newspaper, let alone one in a community as fair, balanced and tolerant as we enjoy here in the Lower Mainland.
