Be clear about your agenda

Letters

Editor: Jews have never unanimously agreed on anything, and that's probably as it should be. However, regarding Israel, I think that all Jews should agree that Israel needs to survive as a nation. If you are Jewish, and don't believe that Israel needs to survive, then I will understand why you think that the Palestinians have the right of return.

If you are Jewish and want the best for the Palestinians, well, so do I. But they are saddled with a leader who places the destruction of Israel above all else. The needs of his people are nowhere to be seen in Arafat's agenda.

So please, by all means, continue to write your letters. But before you do, please be clear about your agenda.
