All the mail that fits to print

I am absolutely outraged.

Enough with the kumbaya-singing, peace quilt-sewing, can’t-we-all-get-along liberal fluff! Where is the anger and outrage?!

Week after week you publish barely literate, poorly written stories about things that don’t matter. Wait. Wrong paper. Never mind.

Could you fit more spiteful venom into your pages? I swear you people hate peace!

Thank you for your coverage of Barb Dwyer’s recent one-woman Yiddish tap-dance interpretation of the life of Shelley Winters. Your report was fair, but failed to mention the excellent special effects (by my nephew, Jason), especially the recreation of the Poseidon Adventure scene in which Miss Winters has to squeeze through the tight space to escape. It was a moving performance, especially since Barb’s feet never stopped tapping for a minute. Kol hakavod on your coverage of the local arts scene!

Your review of the new exhibit did not include several of the finest works on display, particularly those by my daughter, Rachel. The still life “Apple on a Fencepost with Serpent” is a biblical allegory deserving of far more space than “Self-portrait of a Color-blind Ginger” by Goldie Gershon’s granddaughter MacKenzie. Really, I’m not sure what kind of background your reporter has in art, but I suggest she brush up before next month’s opening of “Passion for Pastels,” curated by my niece Lori.
