February 14, 2003 When will we learn?LettersEditor: I agree with your editorial question "When will Israel
learn?" (Bulletin, Jan. 24) but my reasons may be a
little different than yours. It is true that we do not have many
Jews among us that have the qualities of Ms. Hannan Ashrawi. We
tend not to excel at that level of manipulation, propaganda, injustice,
revisionism, intolerance, self-glorification and smugness that passes
as educated intellectualism these days. Yes, when will we learn
to stop acting like Jews and start acting like the enlightened humanists?
