Time to get lathered up!

Editorial

The Boycott Israeli Apartheid Campaign plans to picket this Sunday afternoon outside local small business Lavan Body Mind and Soap, 840 Granville St. (at Robson) because it carries Israeli soaps and beauty products.

The local community has an opportunity to show the protesters – and the storeowners – that this sort of targeted intimidation will not go unchallenged.

If you need soap – or, frankly, even if you don’t – this Sunday, Nov. 20, between 1 and 4 p.m. is the time to drop by Lavan and stock up. Plan ahead for Chanukah, and make your gift purchases on that day. While you’re there, please take a moment to let those picketing outside know – in a civil manner – that you are spending your money there as a direct result of their attack on a Vancouver small business.
