Bulletin contest winner

Sandy Crystal is the winner of the Bulletin's first Buy Israel contest. We asked readers to call, e-mail or fax us with ideas for items made in Israel that they found in unusual places. Crystal, who is a nurse at the Louis Brier Home and Hospital, said she had recently purchased sheets at Forty Winks and, while looking at the label for washing instructions, found out that they are made in Israel. The distributor, Norther Feather Ltd., is located right in Delta.

Crystal won two tickets valued at $150 to see the grand celebration of the Orpheum's 75th anniversary on Nov. 7, which featured internationally celebrated pianists Robert Silverman, Jane Coop and Jon Kimura Parker, as well as Canada's top male jazz vocalist Denzal Sinclaire and renowned mezzo-soprano Jean Stilwell.

The Bulletin will have more contests coming up that will feature tickets to the Playhouse production of Fiddler on the Roof. So keep your eyes open for Israeli products.
