A note of thanks

Letter)

Editor: The dust has settled and Jewish Love Potion has come and gone. With the overwhelming excitement of throwing this party and the success that came with it, I feel a strong need to thank the people and organizations who made things possible. Without the co-sponsorship of YAD, the Young Adult Division of the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver, and Chabad Lubavitch B.C., I would have lost the koyach (strength) to create the party. I want to thank Shelley Karrel and Rabbi Yitzchak Wineberg who both went out on a limb to support this event. They saw what I saw and feel what I feel - a strong sense of community and a desire to strengthen community through unity.

Countless times I was ready to give up. Support and friendship from Mr. Mamush Heayie and Ms. Rory Richards prevented that from happening.

I couldn't have hoped for a greater success and certainly didn't expect it. I feel proud to have achieved the goal of fulfilling a need in our community and bringing Jewish singles together. Part of the proceeds have been donated back to the community, specifically to the Jewish Family Service Agency. Proceeds have also been returned to YAD for their support and for future YAD events. The remainder of the proceeds will go towards the next party.

Hoping to build from the Love Potion, Michael and Rory Productions presents Aviva Las Vegas at Bar None, Sunday March 10. For more information contact [email protected].
