Refugees not the issue
Letters
Editor: I don't want to get involved in the current controversy
in your paper, however, I think you missed the point when you said
the issue is one of Palestinian refugees. It is not. All fair-minded
people want justice for both "sides" in the Middle East.
This issue is about the amount of attention given a small but vocal
(and close-minded) group of people who do not want to hear another
side. Israel, warts and all, must be supported as the only homeland
for the Jewish people.
I would appreciate as much attention given to the more positive
aspects of our community. For example, the Louis Brier Home and
Hospital and the Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver.
