Thanks for openness

Letters

Editor: I'd like to thank the Jewish Western Bulletin and the Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver for their support, generosity and openness. Thank you for letting people with different opinions share their thoughts and ideas.

I'd also like to thank you for not being judgmental and giving the new Peace Walker Society a chance to have a say and a show about a walk for peace in Israel.

I have recently immigrated from Israel. (With regard to the comments made by Dr. Jack Chivo in a letter to the editor Nov. 22, I certainly do not belong to the KGB or any other such organization.) Being concerned about the future of my homeland, family and friends, I decided to go for a walk for peace in Israel last June. The story of this walk is part of the Peace Walker Society's show in the coming months at the JCC and other venues in Vancouver and across Canada. With peace,

Hila Russ Woodland
